Les derniers volumes (30 - 44) sont consacrés à l'histoire de la biochimie sous le tutre "A history of Biochemistry". Les volumes suivants sont intiulés " Stories of success. Personal recollections".

Cette série est interrrompue du strict point de vue scientifique ; les éditions ELSEVIER la font se poursuivre de ce même point de vue dans la série " New comprehensive biochemistry".
